FUSHION NEWS is back after a lengthy Christmas break.   The web site is currently being upgraded with a change in the computer language.  This is taking longer than anticipated so please bear with us.  You may be experiencing some technical difficulties whilst browsing the site.  To further promote our members, we are looking at some extra options to further promote our artistes including adding sound bites which will feature the artistes’ voice and a video streamer to allow viewing of show reels.  These ideas are currently in their development stages so watch this space.  We are aware that several artistes need to update their CV and photographs, please send any amendments and new photographs to our London offices c/o Rachel.  Our new stationary is “on hold” again as we are changing our telephone and fax number and need to add several DTI requirements and the Agents Association of Great Britain logo to all our paperwork.  Once our new telephone and fax numbers are released, we will be sending out over 5,000 promotional postcards to ALL within the industry.  The 0800 number will then be discontinued.

FUSHION welcomes new artistes who have joined our agency in the last several months and I hope we will continue to have a long and happy relationship.  We will detailing more in depth next month where are artistes are currently working, however BETH COHEN is still on tour in Germany with “Romeo & Juliet”, REBECCA FOWLER is still on Cruise in the Canary Islands, MARISA DE ANDRADE is still woo-ing casting directors and executives in New York (further news to be released) and BEN RICHARDS is still on tour with “Zook”.  FUSHION also represents a small selective catalogue of artistes not featured on the web site.  Please contact then office for head sheets and further information.

Artiste details of as August 2001 are featured in the current 2002 edition of The Artistes & Agents Handbook.  Amendments and additions will be made when the 2003 book goes to print later in the year.  Fushion is also appearing in the London Party Planner available from top branches of WH Smith.  Fushion did not appear in the 2001 edition of CONATCTS (published by The Spotlight) but has submitted an entry for the 2002 edition due to be published in October 2002.

LEE DENNISON ASSOCIATES

Many of you will have seen recent advertisements on Shooting People, Cast web, Casting People etc by Lee.  Although still active with new artistes at Fushion, Lee Dennison Associates is a separate casting company mainly dealing with projects in USA & Europe.  Lee is currently updating his casting portfolios is organising one to one sessions with artistes both with Fushion and not.  Lee Dennison Associates is NOT an agency although Lee does manage two recording artistes currently on development contracts with UK record companies.  Details to be announced shortly.  Lee is currently In New York casting with Accurate Records until early March.  In his absence you can contact or mail his new assistant JAMIE LOWE.  Jamie comes to Fushion from Pink Soda Productions and we welcome hime to the team.

Details have been announced regarding repros.  Please read the following:

Actors - We are now ONLY accepting repros of a professional and quality standard.  They must be size 10 by 8, black and white, head and shoulder shot and in a glossy finish.  We would prefer your name in capital letters and in colour black at the base of the photograph but with no other added details such as agent or telephone number.   If you wish to add Fushion as your agent on the photograph for contact details please contact the office for correct agency information.  I understand this may be an added expense to you but unfortunately these changes have had to occur and it is to your benefit. 

Models – We are ONLY accepting professional colour/black and white Z cards and must be in a glossy finish.  Again, your name/model name must be shown clearly on the front and personal statistics on reverse.  No other details such as agent or telephone numbers please.  If you wish to add Fushion as your agent on the card please contact the office for correct agency information

Cabaret and Variety artistes – Please contact the office. 

If you are unable to proceed with new photographs/repros/Z Cards at this stage then Fushion will have to release you from your contract with immediate effect as we are not able to use previous repros if they were not of the above standard.  Please advise our office.  We can recommend professional photographers and repro companies, again please contact us for further details.  For web inclusion please speak to Lee. 

MODELS & VARIETY ARTISTES AT FUSHION

Although delayed for a year FUSHION are currently working on plans to expand the models section.  The original idea was to create a separate models section called “Atomic” however there are many model agencies with similar names so the idea was abandoned.  We have now decided to enlarge our model portfolio but keeping it under the Fushion umbrella.  Unlike the actors, the models will be required to have a selection of Z cards and photographs for web site usage.  Interviews and selection will commence in the spring.  Applications to either Rachel or Lawrence at London offices. 

After a successful year, our variety section is also expanding and we are currently looking to represent a selection of variety/cabaret acts including top bands, magicians, DJs, look-alikes, night club acts, etc.  There will be an initial interview and/or audition/performance view.  For further information please contact Lee.
